Nightshroud was beat and just needed somewhere to rest for a few cycles. She'd been flying around half the day in her failed quest to find any Decepticons on this blue marble, and still she'd come up short. How long had she even been here now and had no luck? To be honest she was starting to lose faith that there were any Decepticons here. Maybe the wreckage of the Nemesis she found up on the moon had simply been a red herring of sorts, but there had to be a reason it was there. Maybe they'd abandoned the ship and fled elsewhere, but this planet made the most sense.
From the sky the crimson seeker spotted an island in the middle of a vast lake. It didn't look very big given it's crescent shape, but it was a good a place as any in her processor.
Transforming in mid-air with a quick flip, Nightshroud descended onto the ground with the use of the afterburners in her heels. The place really didn't look like much with a couple patches of what looked to be woods at some point, but it was hard to say. The way the island looked from the sky it almost looked like maybe an explosion had gone off here and wiped out part of the island, but given Nightshroud knew nothing of this planet it could have been anything even just how the island itself formed. Looking out toward the lake, she frowned as she sighed to herself. It was quiet. Far too quiet.
"I really am the only bot on this planet, huh..?" She muttered quietly to herself, completely ignoring the clone she'd abandoned some time ago. Nightshroud didn't want to think about her. She couldn't.

A few megaannums, she had finally found her way back. After spending a few million years in Earth's past, she had managed to return to the very spot it had all begun for her change, for her research, keen to think she might be able to improve her technique with what she had lost. Not that she wasn't already confident in the advances she had made in her techno-organic research, but slight alterations here and there could mean the difference of making the process smoother and quicker.
Up until then, luck had graced Blackarachnia, but it had a funny way of coming to bite you in the aft.
Scrounging about in the wreckage of the lab once belonging to Meltdown, the spider femme had been hopeful she might find more of the man's information or notes. However, what she found was useless junk, the systems either fried or destroyed, and anything useful had long been removed or was damaged beyond recognition and repair. Letting out a frustrated growl, Blackarachnia threw the remnants of what had been one of her little hiccups in experimenting with transwarp technology to create other techno-organics. Glass shattered and metal clanked along the floor, rolling to stop at her feet as she glared at the remains of her machine. 'So slagging useless, this was a waste.' She thought to herself with frustration, finally having to admit the waste of energy she had expended coming to this Primus forsaken island and leaving the remains of the lab. If one could even call it that anymore.
Sighing as the widow rubbed her temples, Blackarachnia could only make her way through what remained of the forest on the island, having to think of plan B. What could she do from there? Perhaps tinker with her methods some more and hope for the best. Maybe the Elite Guard headquarters might have more of the technology to facilitate her methods becoming more streamlined and less worried about potential problems, including another transwarp explosion. Though, that was an even greater risk than taking a space bridge there to Earth without getting noticed. "Hm, whatever needs to be done for science I suppose." She mused to herself, intending to retrace her steps to return to the boat she had "borrowed".
Though her attention was soon caught by a signal her sensors caught onto, a Decepticon one no less. Surprised, Blackarachnia decided to take a detour, following the signal as it seemed to get stronger by the shoreline straining her audio receptors and catching a feminine voice speak nearby. Stopping at the treeline out of sight, Blackarachnia was surprised to see a crimson and gold seeker, a Decepticon she had never seen before. Well, not like she was so eager to return to the space bridge there on Earth right away anyhow. "Only bot? Hahaha, oh I assure you kid, you're definitely far from the only one on this planet." Blackarachnia spoke up, stepping from the shadows of the trees with a fanged smirk, "You just aren't looking in the right places."

As she heard that sudden voice Nightshroud gasped, quickly turning around with widened optics. She didn't know the femme that stood near the line of trees, nor could she figure out what the heck her form was supposed to even be, but that didn't matter at the moment. Finally.. finally she'd found another Cybertronian! Nightshroud was both overcome with joy, but refusing to show it as well. Why get too excited when this could easily be a trap? After how she'd been treated by the Autobots and how long it'd taken her to find another Decepticon, there was no telling what motives Blackarachnia might have in store.
Relaxing slightly, Nightshroud took a few steps closer to the mystery femme. She wasn't terribly shorter than the spider bot, but it was nice to not feel dwarfed by someone either. So many of the Decepticons were much taller than her, but as she got closer the crimson seeker noticed something.. strange. There was definitely an insignia on the gold and black femme's plating, but it was neither Autobot nor Decepticon. It was still a purplish color, but she couldn't quite make out it's design.
"Good to know I'm not the only bot here, but.. who are you and what faction are you? Certainly don't look like an Autobot, but that doesn't look like a Decepticon brand either." Nightshroud's optics narrowed as she crossed her arms defensively. "And what are you saying? That there's more Cybertronians out here? I've been on this rock for nearly a stellar cycle and haven't been able to find anyone." Granted she didn't know many of the Decepticons had masked their energy signatures.

Blackarachnia didn't hide her amusement when seeing Nightshroud seemed surprised to hear someone around. Admittedly, she got a little kick out of surprising and startling bots and other beings when the time arose, sometimes just adding to the delight she got when she went into a more predatory game for finding unfortunate victims. This wasn't one of those cases, but it was still amusing when she could get the jump on someone when she wasn't even really trying. A small chuckle leaving her lips as the surprise turned into defensiveness.
"You're a feisty little femme aren't you." The spider femme noted as she approached, undeterred by the defensive posture the seeker had, almost seeming to brush it aside. "And a year huh, pretty impressive to not be noticed by now." Though, Blackarachnia could admit even she didn't know if the Autobots were still around, having been caught in the past for so long. She knew enough of the times they had a way to get to Earth, but she didn't know for certain if any of them were actively sticking around on the planet like Optimus and his crew had been. The thought of Optimus made her energon boil a bit even to this day however and she was more than fine with dismissing the chance of encountering him.
Resting her hands on her hips, the widow merely smirked, "Oh don't get it twisted little seeker, I'm sure there's Decepticons on Earth, they're just good at masking their signals. They have to given the Elite Guard are always looking for them especially with the break out back on Cybertron." Blackarachnia glossed over Nightshroud's initial questions at first, deciding to address the more pressing concern. "Though given what you've told me and your previous words, I'd wager you're out of touch with the times. Wonder how long you've been isolated to be so out of the loop." A part of Blackarachnia was curious as to where the seeker came from anyhow, knowing there were many Decepticons across the galaxy even when she had been an Autobot, so it would be curious if the young femme would disclose any of that information willingly.
"And my name is Blackarachnia, and you could say I'm a Decepticon...of sorts." Now, she addressed Nightshroud's original questions glancing down at her unique insignia, "Least, I'm kinda one, but its been several millions of years so I ended up with another faction called the Predacons. That's a long story in itself." The femme's smirk turned into a frown as she shifted, tilting her hips slightly as she crossed her arms. "Though, I also use to be an Autobot, so guess you could say I've been around the block a couple times."
