GENERAL INFO

Personality: At a first glance, Nightshroud seems to be the unfriendly sort, always cold and distance but if one got to know her they would understand why. Nightshroud isn't just insecure around others, but given that she was betrayed not once but twice in the very same cycle. She's afraid of getting close to anyone because she doesn't know how to trust others, and given the nature of war she doesn't want to get too attached. The problem is that she doesn't like being alone either so she's always at a constant loss of wanting to reach out but not wanting to open up to anyone either. For that reason she's fairly withdrawn, but she does tend to mask her insecurities with anger when she knows she's 'safe' aka not in the vicinity of someone who could terminate her with such ease. Deep down all Nightshroud wants is to have at least one bot she knows she can rely on and won't betray her trust, but more than that she wants to feel like she belongs.. to find a place she can safely call home and feel welcome. If one managed to break through her walls, they would find Nightshroud is extremely caring and loyal. She will always do what she can to protect someone she cares about, even if it puts her in harms way. If anyone dared to try and take the one shred of happiness she had, then spark help them.
Nightshroud suffers with body dysmorphia, though it has gotten better now that she's had her alt-mode changed despite the circumstances surrounding it. She was created with wheels but always felt a longing for the skies. Now that she has wings and the Decepticons gave her the freedom of flight she's somewhat happier, but any reminders of her old alt-mode are a trigger to her. She can't stand the sight of her own clone for that reason because her CNA still recognizes the original alt-mode and thus any clone she makes of herself would have the same problem. Any compliments of how she looks almost feel more like rubbing salt in the wound, though Nightshroud knows that that isn't necessarily the case. She knows not everyone knows about her change in alt-mode, and she'd rather keep it that way if at all possible but it's hard to do when she has a history of once being an Autobot.
While she once was a medic on Cybertron, she's let her practice fall to the wayside as she's picked up the art of fighting with a sword. She didn't always enjoy fighting, but after everything that's happened she's since found some thrill in it. She'll still assist in medical matters when needed, but she's only really good when it comes to anything spark related and not so much reassembling a bot for example. All and all, she enjoys the freedom that she has with the Decepticons that she didn't have with the Autobots. She just wishes that she felt like she belonged with them, but maybe the right bot could change that for her.
Likes: Her wings, flying, anyone who manages to befriend her, massages, freedom, the oil Decepticons have to drink
Dislikes: Autobots, Sentinel Prime, being alone, her insecurities, being judged, obnoxious bots, being trapped
PERSONAL INFO
Family: Clematis ('Failed' Clone)
Mate: None
History: Nightshroud is a femme who was created and went through the academy sometime between the time Optimus, Elita and Sentinel went through the academy and the time Bumblebee and Bulkhead did. She excelled fairly well in terms of medical studies with specialty developed in spark related illnesses, and while she found the occasional combat practice fun.. her spark longed for more. Nightshroud long held a desire to soar through the skies not on a spacecraft but to fly all on her own, but knew that it just wasn't to be. Autobots couldn't fly, and only the Decepticons could. Still, it was something she couldn't just talk to anyone about given the associative ties, and so she kept it to herself for a long time. She hated the way that she looked and seeing the wheels in her reflection only made her feel more uncomfortable. One day Nightshroud received a mysterious flyer on her datapad about someone who could offer services to give her the body she desired. She didn't know who had sent it only that the location given to her lead to an underground clinic, but she didn't even question it. If it was true that they could give her wings even if she couldn't fly.. wasn't it worth it to have what she longed for?
That had been her biggest mistake. Nightshroud went to that clinic and while the presiding medic did say he could give her what she wanted, he waited until after the procedure to inform her that it came at the cost of her spark. It turned out the medic was secretly in the black market dealing, looking for any bot with upgrades worth a pretty shanix and lured them in; bots the medic claimed wouldn't be missed if they were to just disappear off the streets of Iacon. As Nightshroud tried to get away, recovering from the effects of the EMP that was used to change her alt-mode, she was saved by Sentinel Minor and a pair of Autotroopers who had apparently been trying to track down the mastermind of the disappearances and had followed Nightshroud. With the medic arrested, Nightshroud had hoped that all would be fine.
..it wasn't.
Sentinel quickly turned on Nightshroud the moment she mentioned she actually did want the change to her alt-mode so she could have wings, and declared her a Decepticon sympathizer for it threatening to have her sent to the Stockade just as long as the crazed medic. Nightshroud barely managed to shove her way past Sentinel and the troopers, fleeing to the streets of Iacon. No longer feeling safe, she stole a small ship and fled Cybertron.. but not before removing her Autobrand. That was the point that turned her away from the Autobots. Nightshroud drifted through space for some time before eventually being picked up by the Decepticons who not only gave her the Decepticon code that would allow her to take flight, but also how to fight with a sword. She stayed with them while proved that she wasn't just some Autobot spy, but eventually split up from those who sheltered her. The Decepticons were still scattered, and it was good to keep a distance in order to cover more area once the order to strike back at the Autobots ever came in. However the order never did come, and many stellar cycles passed before Nightshroud finally caught the signal of the Nemesis. Eager, Nightshroud followed it only to find it broken apart on the moon of the planet Earth with no inhabitants whatsoever.. entirely abandoned. Disheartened, Nightshroud took some time to herself before deciding what to do next.
Eventually Nightshroud decided to visit the blue marble after time exploring the solar system, but her visit didn't go quite as she expected. Upon entry and descending near a large city, she just barely caught something flying up toward her and everything went dark. What she didn't know was two Starscream clones strapped together had been sent hurtling into the sky as they exploded, and she had been caught in the crossfire. Nightshroud offlined as her frame crashed into a waterway in the city. By complete chance, a fragment of the AllSpark had shifted where she landed moving straight into her damaged body.
And then she woke up, body completely healed as if nothing happened!
Nightshroud was understandably confused by what had happened, wasting no time fleeing the area from the skies because she wasn't about to deal with another surprise attack like that. She eventually settled down in the most northern part of Michigan deep in the forest before noticing the lack of spark in her spark chamber, but instead a glowing blue crystal. She didn't recognize it, but it wasn't hard to put two and two together that whatever it was it was keeping her online. She spent deca-cycles on her own, trying to find any trace of the Decepticons but to no avail not realizing most of the Cons on the planet had masked their energy signatures. She felt completely alone, and eventually she came across a small pod in the woods with a trail left behind it. It'd clearly crashlanded, and when Nightshroud opened it up she was shocked to find a perfectly preserved protoform. Thinking for a moment, she wondered if the strange crystal keeping her alive could also bring life to others as well. Testing her theory, she broke off a small piece of her AllSpark fragment and put it into the protoform, watching as it changed shape. It looked just like her minus the color palette.
It looked exactly like the old her, complete with wheels.
In a panic, Nightshroud dismissed the clone. Despite it's efforts to try and talk to her, Nightshroud refused to interact with it at all often times yelling. She didn't realize that the fragment of the AllSpark had picked up her CNA, and her CNA still was coded with her original alt-mode. For a few solar cycles Nightshroud allowed the clone to follow her, but over time enough was enough and she took flight not turning back. She abandoned the clone in the woods, fleeing toward Detroit unaware of Megatron's capture. Of his escape. She just wanted to not be alone anymore, but she didn't want her clone.
