Personality:
Metalhawk is by all definitions a young Cybertronian, both physically and mentally. Metalhawk however seems to share a youthful curiosity and vigor with the soul of a wise old hermit, being one that is curious about his surroundings and always seeking various avenues of knowledge with a quick learning curve and quite the memory recall. He is inquisitive and tactical thinker, befitting a mind of a scholar and warrior wrapped into one, taking to both in equal measure but has found he feels more at home on the battlefield. But with this curiosity, Metalhawk has shown himself to be careful and cautious, taking to observing and thinking ahead and on his pedes, usually trying to stay one step ahead or be prepared for just about anything.
Befitting to being an Autobot, Metalhawk embodies many of their stereotypical traits, being noble, compassionate, and kind of spark, caring for innocent life and seeking to be a protector of sorts, albeit a silent one. Metalhawk always seeks to do the right thing even if it means going against orders, having an easy-going, welcoming disposition and generally is easy to approach and talk to. On top of a kind spirit, Metalhawk is social and laid-back, owning to his calm, level head, and having a steady attitude, allowing him to stay cool under dire circumstances and not easily shaken by combat or stress. Even when angered, he maintains his cool, but has a sharp tongue and coolness that on should be mindful of, not being a pushover by any means.
All things considered, Metalhawk does have something of both a serious side and humorous one. He is a clever, cunning trickster as much as he is a cunning combatant, sometimes not minding a prank here and there and tends to be creative in how he interacts with others as well as handling combat situations. He can maintain a professional, formal air one moment, and the next can be laughing and relaxing with friends and comrades alike. Given time, Metalhawk seems to have the potential to become a leader in his own right, having had times where he has taken charge and given directives in the heat of the moment, showing a responsible and mature nature about him but personally has no desire to take such a role.

History:
Metalhawk was the third individual to be born from Project Aerialbot, a project suggested by the Autobot High Council as a means to combat the Decepticons in aerial might. After the more or less successful results of Jetfire's and Jetstorm's reformatting into their air-borne bodies, the project was greenlit to have others undergo the upgrading or imbuing newly awakened sparks into a flight capable form, one of the first being Metalhawk, a new spark born from the reassembled Allspark.
Given life a decade ago, Metalhawk's function seems to have flown before his very optics. Once awakened, he was put through various tests and check ups to ensure the process went smoothly, that his spark would take to the specially made protoform without problem that took a week or two as he adjusted to his beginning of life. With time, he was deemed a success without reformatting an existing spark and was fairly quickly put into the Elite Guard Academy to begin his training. Unlike most recruits however, many of the classes were basic training and special sessions to put his flight capabilities to the test as much as they were to prep him for his military career among the Elite Guard. Luckily, Metalhawk was a quick learner, taking to combat and strategy quite easily and showed himself to be something of a scholar in his free time.
Given another life, the young flier likely would have taken a more scholastic route, but stuck loyally to his intended path, moving up the ranks quite quickly and graduating from the academy faster than most recruits he had started with. On his graduation day, Metalhawk had the chance to meet fellow Autobot fliers, Jetfire and Jetstorm, a little taken aback by their gushing over his existence and what could come of Project Aerialbot and a little overwhelmed at the possibility of working with them often (or combining with them if that were possible). Fortunately, Metalhawk was spared the fate of working with the twins too often when he was assigned to the Intelligence division of the Elite Guard, noted for his extensive use of stealth and generally non-lethal form of combat he favored.
Now, five years later, Metalhawk spends most of his days taking on solo missions to gather intelligence and information, and has taken to exploring Earth in his spare time due to his curiosity of the organic planet he has heard so much about.
